The most awaited Running event of Uttarakhand State, usually held on the last Sunday of August every year but this year it is on 14th Sep, 2025, It's one of the most challenging Runs held in India with the most picturesque terrain, organized by ''Run2Live", Nainital.  What better way of spending time with family and getting fitter in the process? Come witness Nainital, come alive in the Monsoons. Run through lush Kilburry Reserve Forest and the Himalayan Range- a natural home to many rare species of birds. Challenge yourself at the Snow View Hill and the altitude. Enroute you will see many of Nainital's prestigious heritage schools and institutions. We offer you a night FREE stay in Nainital (if you register till last date of registration 28th August, 2025, after that we will not be liable for any accommodation).

All category races are timed with electronic chip except for the RUN FOR FUN category

Refund policy - If participant asks refund before 2 weeks of marathon date, only 50% amount will refunded

If participant asks refund before 1 week of marathon date, no refund will be there.

About the festival and why its not possible for the marathon to beheld on the same day :-  Shri Nanda Devi Mela, Nainital

Nanda Devi Mela, also known as the Nanda Devi Mahotsav, is celebrated during the Nandashtami festival in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, the most popular one being in Nainital. The Nainital Nanda Devi Fair is a cultural carnival celebrated in the month of AUGUST/September. It is celebrated in remembrance of Goddesses Nanda and her sister Sunanda. It is widely believed that in the 17th century, a temple dedicated to Nanda Devi was built by King Dyot Chand, and from then onwards the festival has been celebrated. A huge procession carrying the dola (palanquin) of Nanda Devi and her sister Sunanda goes around the town. The fair is held around the Nanda Devi Temple, attracting visitors from far and wide.*  

This is a huge event for the town both religious and culturally immensely significant.

So the orignal date of 31st August 2025 is now being taken forward to 14th of September 2025
