We are thrilled to announce the Inaugural Kokrajhar NCC Half Marathon, organized by the NCC and BTC (Bodoland Territorial Council) in the serene and vibrant city of Kokrajhar, famously known as the “City of Peace.” This event invites runners from all walks of life to experience the spirit of peace, unity, and resilience that defines this beautiful city. Whether you are an experienced runner or a beginner, this marathon offers something for everyone with three exciting categories: 5 KM, 10 KM, and the iconic Half Marathon (21.1 KM). The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a premier Indian organization training youth from schools and colleges to become responsible citizens. The North Eastern Region (NER) Directorate, based in Shillong, oversees NCC activities across the seven northeastern states, including Assam. It has eight NCC Groups covering the seven states of North East including Guwahati Group. The 7 Assam Battalion NCC is part of Guwahati Group and one of India’s oldest NCC units is responsible for the conduct of inaugural Kokrajhar NCC Half Marathon on November 17, 2024, with races in three categories. The event expects around 3,000 participants, including NCC cadets, officers & men from the three services, CAPFs as well as open category runners from across the Nation.

Kokrajhar, nestled in the heart of Bodoland, is not just a city but a treasure trove of rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural beauty. This region is home to diverse communities that have lived together in harmony for generations, creating a unique blend of traditions, languages, and art forms.
