EVENT INFORMATION

Cancer patients and people who’ve beaten cancer go through their lives with a lot of stress and often have questions about the simplest things to the most complex issues.

Umeed Cancer Support Group, together with Oncology Group of Pune (OGP) and Free Runners are organising a Walkathon/Marathon (1km, 3km, 5km, 10km) on 5th February 2023 (Sunday) for Cancer Patients/Survivors/ Relatives/Friends & Doctors.

This event is not only a way for people with cancer to conquer a personal milestone but also to inspire millions of others to seek help and support when they need it. It is to show that cancer does not have to rule their lives and they are not alone.

Many survivors running together will give the message that “so many have overcome this disease, so I can also overcome this.”

The energy of the group will send a positive vibe to the entire society.

Families of the patient will get a message that having this disease is not the end of the world, so many people have already overcome this disease. Even my kin and family members can overcome this.

Spectators will get a message that cancer can be tackled & the patient can lead a normal life. The angle of looking at cancer patients will change.

Doctors will also run with patients and survivors to show patients that, we are there with them in this tremulous journey.

Expo for collection of Tshirts & BIBs will be held on Friday 3rd Feb 2023 at B.J.Medical Ground between 10.30 am to 6 pm and on 4th Feb from 10.30 am - 1.30 pm
