Syska Runathon Of Hope 2019
Runathon of Hope is a “Half Marathon” recognized as a State Level Event by the Maharashtra Athletic Association. Rotary Club of Nigdi-Pune organises the event every year. This is the eleventh consecutive year of the event. The race route is a highly visible road track in PCMC area. PCMC is one of the largest and fastest growing Industrial, Educational and Residential suburbs in India.
The event is the biggest of its kind in this area. It attracts participation from professional runners, amateurs, schools & industries of about 10,000 persons. A similar number of spectators also grace the event.
It started with 4000 participants in 2011. In 2013, it had grown to 7000 participants. The numbers have steadily increased over the years and the 2019 Dec event saw 10000+ participation.
The Runathon of Hope has different race categories.
- Half Marathon (21.097 km)
- Hope Run (10 km & 5 km)
- Corporate Run (5 km)
- Charity Run/Walk (2 km)
- U-16, U-14 Run for school children
