Pune Women's Half Marathon is an event to celebrate womanhood and a woman’s own revolution. It is the largest women's only half marathon in India! It's a celebration of the ability of each individual woman to transform generations by transforming herself. #Bethechange and join us for a top-rated running experience.
The event is a platform to bring all women from different walks of life to experience the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Come and celebrate yourself this International Women's Week the healthy way! Walk/Jog/Run for 5km/10km/21km on an AIMS certified route.
All participants will receive t-shirts, medals, bibs, breakfast, along with a Zumba warm-up and cool down. Timing chip and an e-certificate are ONLY for 10km and 21km runners. There are NO e-certificates for the 5km run.

EVENT RULES & GUIDELINES :
The following event rules and guidelines are intended to ensure the safety of all participants, to meet the requirements of local authorities and to be compliant with applicable regulations for participant performance records and event liability.
1. All entry fees are non-refundable and the organizers of Pune Women’s Half Marathon retain the right to refuse entry to anyone declaring false information on their entry form, not making the required payment, or otherwise failing to meet the stated entry requirements.
2. Each participant produce a valid government ID at the time of BIB collection.
3. An email address is required for all entries. All correspondence will be via email. A separate email address for each participant is preferred but not essential.
4. Each participant agrees that PWHM organisers have the right to all data submitted by the participants and may at their sole discretion share the same to our marathon partners, officials and photographers for the purpose event related activities and information.
5. The participant fully understands that participating in Pune Women’s Half Marathon requires a certain level of fitness and as such declares that she is physically fit and medically able to participate in the event.
6. Minimum age requirements for participating in 10K and 21K race is 18 years as on March 12th 2023. The 5K race is a fun event and is open to all age groups.
6. The participant authorises the event organisers and the medical support team to administer such medical treatment as may be necessary in case of injury. In case the participant is required to be transported to a third party facility such as a hospital or nursing home for treatment, the cost thereof shall be borne by the participant.
7. The course and route support will be closed at 3.30 hrs from the time of the first flag off.
8. All information, photographs, videos etc. taken during the event shall be the sole property of Freerunners Charitable Trust to be used at the sole discretion of the organisers, in any manner necessary.
9. Participant race number bibs are specific personal identifiers and cannot be exchanged with or transferred/ sold to any other person. Sale and/or transfer of race entry/bibs are strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events.
10. All entry fees are non-refundable and may not be deferred towards a future event. Entry fee may also be increased or decreased at the discretion of the organizers. However, the revised fee will not be applicable to already registered participants.
11. Registration closure is determined and announced when event participation reaches the established capacity or on a pre-determined date.
12. Participants must follow instructions as given by all event officials including race staff, volunteers, medical personnel, security officers, and city officials throughout the duration of the event.
13. All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner during their participation in the event. Anyone violating this rule of conduct shall be disqualified from the event and will be asked to leave the course.
14. Every participant shall be provided with an event bib number, which shall be conspicuously worn on the front with the T-shirt provided basis the participant’s category of Pune Women’s Half Marathon. The event bib number is to be worn as issued. No participant shall be permitted to participate in the event without the appropriate bib number.
15. Except for corporate registrations, the kit i.e. Bib, Tshirt etc will be available for collection only at the expo and will not be available for distribution at the venue on the race day.
16. It is recommended to arrive at the venue at least one hour before the race schedule as given on the official website; freerunners.co.in/pwhm.
17. It is recommended that participants should not carry expensive or important belongings, as no safekeeping facility will be provided at the event venue. Management will not be responsible for any theft or loss of any valuable items.
18. Participants are requested to use public transport or car pool to the arrive at the venue.
19. Any participant who has been found by a course marshal, event official or surveillance equipment to have gained an unfair advantage by intentionally shortening the route of the race (“cutting the course”) shall be immediately disqualified from the event and banned from future participation in any AFI marathon at the discretion of race officials.
20. Any person who participates in the event without a current official event bib number or timing device or a bib or chip not officially assigned to her is subject to removal and disqualification from future events.
21. No persons are authorized to be on the course unless they are registered participants. Therefore, no person shall be allowed to accompany a participant if he/she is not registered in the event, nor shall any participant be allowed, without the permission of the event management, to receive assistance from anyone during the progress of the event. Any person not properly displaying an authorized and issued bib number shall be directed to leave the course.
22. Participants are responsible for their recognition and understanding of event signage, symbols and colour relating to participant maps, facilities and direction.
23. Medical personnel authorized by the event to do so may examine any participant who appears in distress. If in the sole opinion of authorized medical personnel it is in the best interest of the participant’s health and welfare, medical personnel may remove the participant from the event.
24. Event officials reserve the right to delay, cancel, or suspend the race due to any force de majeure circumstances. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.
25. No refund will be issued if the event is cancelled due to a designated infectious or communicable disease or a threat or fear thereof, leading to quarantine or travel advisory or warning.
26. The organiser has no liability for any loss of travel or accommodation costs that the runner may incur.
27. Clock time (gun time) is the official time for the prize giving. The official times shall be recorded from the start of the race by the starting gun to the point where the participant crosses the finish line. Times shall be rounded to the next highest second.
28. All decisions by the organisers shall be final and binding upon the participants. Event officials reserve the right, to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the event rules.
29. Organisers of Pune Women’s Half Marathon reserve the right to cancel the event or postpone the date owing to conditions beyond the control of the organisers like pandemic, epidemic, civil riots, terrorist strike, floods, cyclone, natural disasters, public unrest, etc and such a situation shall be treated as force majeure conditions.
30. By registering, the participant agrees, accepts and acknowledges the terms & conditions of the event and waive all claims against the organisers of Pune Women’s Half Marathon and any party acting on its behalf.
