Description
The National Defence Academy (NDA) is a unique and pioneering Tri-Service Academy of the World, training Male and Female Cadets for all three Services. Aptly regarded as the Cradle of Military Leadership, since its inception in 1948, the Academy has trained more than 38000 Cadets including 1000 Cadets from Friendly Foreign Countries.The NDA has given Independent India two CDS, 14 Army Chiefs, 12 Navy Chiefs and 10 Air Chiefs. Its alumni have distinguished themselves on and off the battlefield, living up to its famous adage 'Seva Parmo Dharma'.
Nestled at Khadakwasla, Pune in the foothills of the Sahyadri Ranges, the Academy is spread over a sprawling 6000 acres, abundant with forests, water bodies, wildlife and flora and fauna, facilitating befitting education, training, leadership and character development in a naturally calming and serene environment. It experiences pleasant weather throughout the year with temperatures ranging between 20 to 28 Degrees Celsius, and Monsoons lasting from June to September.
Cadets at NDA undergo an extremely rigorous and challenging training regimen, unique and unparalleled in its design, conduct and philosophy, comprising an Educational Degree, Physical and Outdoor Training, Sports, Leadership Training and Training in Service and Joint Service Aspects.
Rightly christened as a 'Monument of Modern India', the picturesque Academy possesses world class training and administrative infrastructure, along with architectural marvels signifying it's glorious history and enviable evolution. The Academy is scrupulously maintained and provides unimpeded access for training and recreational activities of varied nature for all its Cadets and Staff.
Commemorating 75 Glorious Years of its inception, NDA's journey marks its conjoined and ascendant trajectory with that of Independent India, which has recently celebrated its Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, and which continues to repose its trust on the Academy for producing future officers responsible for its Security, Stability, Integration and Nation Building, as it stands firmly poised on its path of Greatness and its vision of becoming the Vishwa Guru in the global comity of Nations.
The commemoration also signifies the constantly evolving and vibrant character of NDA which has embraced Women into its Folds and is on course to produce World Class Female Leaders, who will assume the mantle of leadership of the three Armed Services, possessing futuristic technology and world class Human Resources, whilst living upto its founding ideals of Seva Parmo Dharma.
Celebrating this defining and momentous occasion in our Nation's and Academy's journey, NDA is offering an opportunity to people from all walks of life, to experience this glorious journey of NDA, by participating in the NDA MARATHON scheduled on 15th October 2023. The running circuit will form a 21 Km loop, taking runners through breathtakingly scenic beauty. Running shoulder to shoulder with Cadets and Staff of NDA, the event will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for people from different walks of life, providing a rare glimpse into the Military way of Life.

Rules and Regulations
1) Participants must provide photo identification (Adhar for civilians/ Army I'd card for defence personnel) for picking up their race kit to verify their identity as the registrant to whom the BIB number is assigned.
2)Full Marathon Cut-Off time is 7 Hrs
3)Participant race number BIBs are specific personal identifiers and may not be exchanged with or transferred/sold to any other person. The sale and/or transfer of race entries/BIBs is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future event/s.
4)Each participant must sign/agree an event waiver before participating in the event.The organisers (blueBrigade or NDA )will not be liable /responsible for any loss of life , accident or injury .
5)All participants should take part at their own risk and understand that running is a high impact sport .The participant undertakes not to participate if they are medically unfit .
6)Participant must undertake to abide by the race rules, race instructions and marshal directions.
7)All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner during their participation in the event.
8) Participants should not litter inside the NDA Campus or urinate in the open.The entire route is under electronic surveillance.
9)Participants may not be accompanied by anyone on race route that is not registered in the event.
10)No tobacco, alcohol or any other banned substance is permitted.
11)The organisers reserve the right to remove any entrant who is medically unfit to continue in the opinion of the Medical Officer.
12)The course will remain secured until the end of event.
13)All finish times are reviewed before times are deemed official.
14)Participants with missing or irregular split times at official timing checkpoints will be reviewed and may be disqualified.
15)In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Race Director will be final.
16)Video recording and Photographs will be taken of runners and used for the purpose of advertising and promoting the event/s.
17)All finishers will receive medal .
18)Event cancellation: the event will only be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances. In such an eventuality all participants will be notified by email as soon as possible.
19)Entry fee is non-refundable.
20)Collection and use of information: I acknowledge and agree that my personal information (including medical information) can be sorted, used and disclosed by the organisers in connection with the organisation, promotion and administration of the event and for the compilation of statistical information.
21)Any participant who is found in breach of these terms and conditions will be excluded from current and future event/s
22)Event officials reserve the right to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the event rules.
Age Categories
Open - 18 yrs to 35yrs
Neo Veteran - Above 35 yrs to 45 yrs.
Veteran - Above 45 yrs to 60 yrs.
Senior - Above 60 yrs
