Description
The Military Institute of Technology (MILIT) in Khadakwasla, Pune, is a unique and prestigious tri services training institution under the aegis of HQIDS. It is the only Tri-Service Technical Training Institute established to meet the training aspirations and needs of the three Services in contemporary and futuristic technologies. Established in 1952 as IAT and renamed as MILIT in 2016, it stands as a beacon of excellence in defense technology education.
Nestled at Khadakwasla, Pune in the foothills of the Sahyadri Ranges along the back waters of Khadakwasla Dam, it’s spread over a sprawling 500 acres, abundant with forests, wildlife and flora and fauna, facilitating befitting education, training, leadership and character development in a naturally calming and serene environment. It experiences pleasant weather throughout the year with temperatures ranging between 20 to 28 Degrees Celsius, and Monsoons lasting from June to September.
MILIT offers specialized courses in various fields such as Armament Engineering, Military Communication, Combat Vehicles, and more, catering to the needs of the armed forces. It equips officers with in-depth knowledge and practical skills essential for developing cutting-edge defense technologies.
The institute's curriculum amalgamates theoretical learning with hands-on experiences, fostering innovation and critical thinking among its students. The faculty comprises experienced professionals and experts from diverse domains, ensuring a holistic learning environment. MILIT is offering an opportunity to people from all walks of life, to experience this unique environment and fantastic view of the lake, by participating in the MILIT LAKE VIEW HALF MARATHON scheduled on 04 Feb 2024. The running circuit will form a 10.5 Km loop, taking runners through breathtakingly scenic beauty. Running shoulder to shoulder with officers of Indian Armed Forces, the event is planned to become a regular feature of the Pune running circuit.
Rules and Regulations
1) Participants must provide photo identification (Adhar for civilians/ Army I'd card for defence personnel) for picking up their race kit to verify their identity as the registrant to whom the BIB number is assigned.
2)Participant race number BIBs are specific personal identifiers and may not be exchanged with or transferred/sold to any other person. The sale and/or transfer of race entries/BIBs is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future event/s.
3)Each participant must sign/agree an event waiver before participating in the event.The organisers (blueBrigade or MILIT )will not be liable /responsible for any loss of life , accident or injury .
4)All participants should take part at their own risk and understand that running is a high impact sport .The participant undertakes not to participate if they are medically unfit .
5)Participant must undertake to abide by the race rules, race instructions and marshal directions.
6)All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner during their participation in the event.
7) Participants should not litter inside the MILIT Campus or urinate in the open.The entire route is under electronic surveillance.
8)Participants may not be accompanied by anyone on race route that is not registered in the event.
9)No tobacco, alcohol or any other banned substance is permitted.
10)The organisers reserve the right to remove any entrant who is medically unfit to continue in the opinion of the Medical Officer.
11)The course will remain secured until the end of event.
12)All finish times are reviewed before times are deemed official.
13)Participants with missing or irregular split times at official timing checkpoints will be reviewed and may be disqualified.
14)In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Race Director will be final.
15)Video recording and Photographs will be taken of runners and used for the purpose of advertising and promoting the event/s.
16)All finishers will receive medal .
17)Event cancellation: the event will only be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances. In such an eventuality all participants will be notified by email as soon as possible.
18)Entry fee is non-refundable.
19)Collection and use of information: I acknowledge and agree that my personal information (including medical information) can be sorted, used and disclosed by the organisers in connection with the organisation, promotion and administration of the event and for the compilation of statistical information.
20)Any participant who is found in breach of these terms and conditions will be excluded from current and future event/s
21)Event officials reserve the right to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the event rules.

6 years and above accompanied by adult.
Age Categories (for 10K Run)
Junior - 14yrs. to 18yrs.
Open - 18yrs. to 45yrs.
Veteran - Above 46yrs.
Age Categories (for 21K Half Marathon)
Open - 18yrs. to 45yrs.
Veteran - Above - 46yrs.
Note - Attractive cash prizes in all the above categories will be eventually announced for 5K, 10K, and 21K distance category only.
