Iit Hyderabad Half Marathon 2025 - 2 Edition

About the Race

The IIT Hyderabad Half Marathon is an annual running event organized by the IIT Hyderabad Runners Club, focusing on fitness, community, and resilience. The 2024 event, held on December 1st, featured 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon (21.1km) races, attracting around 1500 participants. The event aims to promote physical well-being and foster a sense of community within the institute and the surrounding areas.

Explore the stunning campus of IIT Hyderabad and the spirit of IIT in one of the best ways possible, through its annual running event. After the grand success of the first edition in 2024, the 2nd edition Hyderabad Marathon 2025 is expected to be a fun-filled and joyful experience for runners across the country. 

Half Marathon

Starting from the world-class sports and cultural complex (SNCC) to the main gate through the scenic trails of the IIT Hyderabad campus, the half marathon takes the participant two rounds of the peripheral road to high rises, technology boulevard, to the academic and hostel areas. The race ends near the SNCC. The route is mostly flat and perfect for those who are aiming/training for a full marathon.  

10 K

The runners of the 10 km will go on the similar path as the half marathoners, starting at the sports complex and going to the peripheral road to the main gate, technology boulevard, to the academic and hostel areas.

5K (Timed):

The shortest version of the run is the curtain closer for the IIT Hyderabad annual running event. The run starts and ends at the same place as 21KM and 10KM taking a tour of the academic and hostel blocks of IITH. This version of the run is most popular among beginners. 

5K (Fun Run)

If you only want to explore the campus with a light run without taking a note of time, this is the category for you. You can do this run with your family members, friends, and kids while showing them the campus. There will be no RFID tracker on the bib.
