Iit Bombay Half Marathon 2025 - 7 Edition

The IIT Bombay Half Marathon is back for its 7th edition, bringing together elite runners, fitness enthusiasts, IIT alumni, students, and families from across the country. Over the last six editions, more than 20,000 runners have experienced the joy of racing through one of India’s most beautiful campuses — and this year promises to be bigger, greener, and more impactful than ever!

Organized by Fitizen India Sports Events in association with IIT Bombay Aavhan and the IIT Bombay Sports Team, the 2025 edition carries forward our strong commitment to sustainability and Net Zero goals.

Why IIT Bombay?

Nestled between the Powai and Vihar lakes, IIT Bombay’s 550-acre green campus offers a once-a-year chance to run in a serene, traffic-free environment. Lush greenery, peaceful surroundings, and Mumbai’s cool November morning create the perfect running experience.

Age Categories & Trophies

• 5 km: Girls & Boys, Women & Men (8+ years) : Different age categories for winning trophies are as follows : 8yrs-25 yrs, 26yrs-35 yrs, 36 yrs-50yrs, 51yrs -65 yrs, 66 yrs & above

• 10 km: Women & Men (14+ years) Different age categories for winning trophies are as follows : 14yrs-25 yrs, 26yrs-35 yrs, 36 yrs-50yrs, 51yrs -65 yrs, 66 yrs & above

• Half Marathon: Women & Men (18+ years) Different age categories for winning trophies are as follows : 18yrs-25 yrs, 26yrs-35 yrs, 36 yrs-50yrs, 51yrs -65 yrs, 66 yrs & above

Race Support & Nutrition

• Hydration & nutrition stations along the route

• Breakfast for all runners with bib post-race

• Cut-off times: 5 km – 60 mins | 10 km – 100 mins | 21 km – 200 mins

Rules & Regulations

1.1. Minimum age: 5 km – 8 years, 10 km – 14 years, 21.1 km – 18 years (as of Nov 1, 2025).

2. Race timing recorded on mat-to-mat basis.

3. ID proof mandatory for age verification.

4. IIT Bombay student discount applicable only with a valid student ID card.

5. Bibs are non-transferable; no cancellations or refunds.

6. Snacks & medals will only be given to runners with a valid bib.

7. E-certificates available for runners finishing within cut-off time.

Standard Terms & Conditions

• Participation is at your own risk; ensure you are medically fit to run.

• Organizers are not responsible for injuries, loss of belongings, or parking.

• In case of adverse weather, force majeure, or safety concerns, the event may be postponed or cancelled without refunds.

• Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

• Participants must follow all race instructions and maintain respectful conduct.

• The organizer reserves the right to modify event details at any time.

• Photography and videography rights belong to the event organizers; materials may be used for promotional purposes without compensation.

• Minors must be registered by a parent/guardian who accepts these terms.
