India's Favorite Half Marathon The SATARA HILL HALF MARATHON (SHHM), is the only AIMS certified race that holds the Guinness World Record for "Most people on a Single Mountain for a run". Held annually in the historic city of Satara, the erstwhile capital of the Maratha Kingdom founded by the legendary Warrior King Shrimant Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhosale.

SHHM has been featured in the Runner’s World "Top 50 Must Do Half Marathons" 3 times in a row attracting running enthusiasts & elite athletes, not only from India but from across the globe.Our theme for this year is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Meaning the world is one Family. We intend to apply/extend this to mean that runners from all over are one family. The theme for SHHM 2023 is encapsulated in the Sanskrit phrase Sarve Dhavakaha Kutumbakam, meaning "All Runners Are One Family."

Running has become a universal bond that transcends race, region, rank, and religion. Runners run to challenge themselves and to improve their lives, inspiring their loved ones and creating a better future for themselves and their nations. On the marathon route, everyone is united as one family.
