It is a Marathon where Participants will Pledge for Beti Safety.
To put an end to crimes against Beti and Spread Gender Equality.

‘Run for Beti’ is an annual Marathon initiated by Beti Foundation with the aim to eliminate crimes against girls and women’s rights. This event gathers people of different age groups who commit themselves to protect the lives of girls and women in society. The marathon to take place at Connaught Place seeks to raise awareness of the need to fight crimes against women and protect women in each society. Besides running for Beti, the participants will also make a pledge for Beti’s safety, for the elimination of eve-teasing and other acts of violence against women.

The idea of Run for Beti is different from similar events in that it wants to directly engage the young generation, particularly those from untapped areas. Volunteers comprising youngsters from JJ colonies where a number of kids are already enrolled in the YUVA training module will be part of the race. This program aims at targeting these young people and making them aware  and committed to the protection of Beti by embracing cultures of non Violence against women
