Calicut Half Marathon 2024 - 14 Edition

The Calicut Marathon Committee of IIM Kozhikode has been organising the Calicut Half Marathon since 2010. The team is proud to introduce the 14th edition of the event, which is scheduled on the 3rd of March 2024 with the cause ‘Run for a drug-free future’. IIM Kozhikode prides itself on being a frontrunner in social initiatives, and the Calicut Half Marathon is the largest endeavour in this regard.
The event will happen at Calicut Beach with the flag off at 5 Am on 3rd March 2024.

Event Details:

- Race Category Distance: 21 Km, 10 Km and 3 Km Dream Run

- Registration Dates: 6th February 2024, 9 AM IST, to 25th February 2024, 11:59 PM IST or until running places are filled.

- Minimum Age Eligibility: 18 years (born on or before 03.03.2006) – 21 Km

       16 years (born on or before 03.03.2008) – 10 Km

       14 years (born on or before 03.03.2010) – 3 Km

Participation confirmation is subject to meeting the minimum age requirement, fulfilling the Half Marathon confirmation criteria, and adherence to entry rules and regulations.

21 Km Run – 450 Rs

10 Km Run – 450 Rs

3 Km Dream Run – 200 Rs

Service Charges to be borne by the customer

Discount of Rs 50 for bulk booking of more than 10 participants (Discount code should be provided upon request)

CALICUT HALF MARATHON 2024 - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Application Guidelines

a. Applicants must carefully read and understand the rules and regulations outlined below before submitting their application for the Calicut Half Marathon 2024.

b. Each applicant is allowed to apply for only one race category: 21 Km, 10 Km and 3 Km. Multiple applications or the use of multiple email addresses for the same individual will result in the disqualification of all entries.

c. Application confirmation is subject to meeting specified criteria and the rules mentioned herein for the chosen race category.

d. Registration is exclusively online through the provided registration link. No individual or group is authorised to collect entries on behalf of the event organiser.

e. Before applying, ensure that all mandatory fields are filled, entry fee is paid, and consent is acknowledged. Non-compliance with these requirements will lead to application rejection.

f. Once submitted, the applicant cannot change profile details. For corrections, email calicutmarathon@iimk.ac.in.

g. Half Marathon and Open 10K runners will be categorised by age for awards. Refer to the event website for more details.

2. Expo & Bib Collection

a. Running number bibs for all participants must be collected from the designated point. The date will be announced duly.

b. Personal collection is mandatory for participants. Required documents include application confirmation and a government-approved photo ID.

c. In unavoidable circumstances, a runner's representative may collect the bib on their behalf, with proper documentation.

d. No bibs will be posted to addresses, and no collections will be allowed after the mentioned date and time.

3. Entry Rejection and Refund Policy

a. No refund requests for application fees will be entertained once an entry is received.

b. If an application is rejected, the entry fee will be refunded before 10th March 2024, with a deduction of processing charges.

c. Application fees will not be refunded for non-participation or disqualification on the race day.

d. Refund discrepancies must be reported to the event registration team before 13th March 2024.

e. Unauthorized use of corporate/group codes may result in entry denial.

4. Entry Deferment Policy

a. In case the Calicut Half Marathon 2024 is cancelled, entries will be carried forward to the subsequent edition without additional fees, subject to qualification criteria.

b. If specific race category participation is reduced due to government protocols, deferment to the next edition is allowed without extra fees, subject to qualification criteria.

5. Other Important Points

a. Participant rights and benefits are at the sole discretion of the event promoter and cannot be transferred.

b. Identity and residence verification may be conducted, and incorrect information may result in disqualification without refund.

c. Impersonation using a different bib will lead to disqualification and legal action.

d. Recordings made during the event are for personal use only, not for commercial purposes. 

6. Event Changes

a. The event promoter reserves the right to amend or alter the terms of the Calicut Half Marathon at any time without notice.
