Simple Steps presents Ageless Wonder WALK n JOG, Edition 3

Simple Steps Fitness came into existence to create awareness of running for fitness among children. Starting from 2015 till now, we have evolved into a fitness community and now do various initiatives for fitness of the society as a whole; not just children! We are proud to have the young and the old all involved in this fitness community.

Running, jogging or walking is a simple exercise. It strengthens bones, muscles, and tendons; helps improve coordination, is good for cardiovascular system besides being a fun activity. After successfully completing the 8th edition of Children's Marathon in Pune, we now bring to you the third edition of Senior Citizens Walk n Jog event. The event is scheduled on Sunday, 25 February 2024 inside the beautiful campus of Savitribai Phule Pune University!

Race categories and fees - Eligibility Age: 60+ only

3 KM (Fun Run) - INR 400/- (Non-Competitive Race. Includes Goodie bag, Finishers Medal, Post Race Refreshments, Bib and e-Certificate)

5 KM - INR 500/- (Competitive Race. Includes Goodie bag, Finishers Medal, Post Race Refreshments, Bib with timing chip and e-Certificate)

10 KM - INR 600/- (Competitive Race. Includes Goodie bag, Finishers Medal, Post Race Refreshments, Bib with timing chip and e-Certificate)

3 KM (Fun Run) - "Run on Wheels" for participants on wheelchairs (participant + guardian) - FREE!!! (Non-Competitive Race. Includes Goodie bag, Finishers Medal, Post Race Refreshments, Bib with timing chip and e-Certificate)

The participant can be accompanied by a buddy - INR 200/- additional

T-shirt optional at INR 250/-

Please note: It is compulsory for all participants to collect their running kits & bibs! The bib distribution will be on Saturday, 24 Feb 2024 at Environmental Science Dept., Savitribai Phule Pune University from 10 AM to 6 PM

Rules for Races and Prizes

1. Only 5 KM and 10 KM races are competitive. Top 3 in each of these distance & age categories as defined will be awarded in women and men.
2. The results of all competitive races will be based on time chip.
3. There will be few special prizes at the discretion of the organizers.
4. The responsibility of medical fitness of the participant resides with the participant only.
5. Race organizers, sponsors or any entity associated with the race organizers will NOT be responsible for any theft, damage, and physical injury happening during the race. The race organizers will take care to provide first aid assistance as fast as they can in case of emergency.
6. The participant agrees that their participation in this event is voluntary. Furthermore, the participant agrees to assume any risk associated with participating in the event, and releases Simple Steps Fitness from any and all claims of loss or damage that may arise during their participation. Such releases are without limitation, and include attorneys' fees, personal injury, property damage, and any other losses or damages suffered by the participant.
7. The participant agrees to indemnify and hold Simple Steps Fitness harmless against any and all claims of loss or damage.
8. The participant hereby warrants that they are physically fit and capable of participating in event without undue risk.
9. Simple Steps Fitness maintains the right to deny your participation in this event if they deem that your participation would risk loss or damage to any party.
10. All participants are required to obey the rules and regulations laid by the organizers. Non-compliance to the rules will result in disqualification.
11. No participant will be allowed to participate without the bibs.
12. Bib distribution will be on Saturday, 24 Feb 2024 from 8 AM to 2 PM at Gokhale Institute, BMCC Road, Pune
