Description
Jai Balaji Group and Sportiz are proud to organize the first ever stadium run of East India- the JBG Kolkata Stadium Run. Stadium run is an ultra-distance running event which will test your true endurance, grit and strength capabilities. You will be running in loops on synthetic track & NOT on tarmac road or trails. We hope to give you a memorable running experience and a fitness festival at the same place.
Event date - 29th January 2023
Venue – Sports Authority of India (Salt Lake, Kolkata)
Format – Individual & Team (6hrs/ 12hrs) – Local & Outstation separate categories
Race will be held under 22 categories of Individual and Team. Please carefully select your category before registering.
RULES & REGULATIONS -
Below are basic information related to format and registration eligibility. Detailed rules and regulations with respect to race day, timings, slots, sequences and event day flow of activities will be shared with registered teams and individuals at a later stage.
Team size - 6 runners
Type of team categories - Mixed gender, All Male, All Female
Mixed team - requires 4 Males & minimum of 2 Females in the team
Team Registration - At the time of Team registration, we need the contact details of only one person /member of the team. Details of all 6 relay team members must be sent to the organizing team by email within 15 days of registration or on 20th December 2022 (whichever is earliest). The organizing team will send an email to the registered email id requesting for the necessary details of the team.
Minimum age for registration -
Individual category - 18 yrs and above
Team category (6 hrs) – 14 yrs and above
Team category (12 hrs) – 16 yrs and above
The eligibility criterion for a finisher certificate -
12 hrs (Individual & Team) - 65 km (Men) & 55 km (Female)
6 hrs (Individual & Team) - 35 km (Men) & 32 km (Female)
Prizes – Registrations and podiums are only Open categories (Team & Individual). There are no age categories.
Relay Teams:
- A runner part of the team relay has to run for a continuous 1 hr / 2 hr (6hrs/ 12hrs format) on the track after which the next runner will join the relay on the track, and so on. At a time, only one runner from the relay team will be running on the track.
- Total cumulative distance covered by all 6 runners will be used to decide the Team Distance.
- The Time sequence of the Relay runners running on the track once decided needs to be maintained. In an event of any change, the organisers need to be informed at least 1 hour before the start of the run.
All Categories:
- Individuals/Teams will be ranked basis of the distance/lap they have covered in their designated run time.
- All Runners, Individual and Team Relay, will be running in the same direction. There will be a change in direction of running every hour. For example, if runners are running in say Clockwise direction between 6-7 am, they would be required to change direction and run anti-Clockwise the next hour, 7-8 am. And then change direction Clockwise from 8-9 am, and so on.
- No pacers, supporters, or even the relay team runners whose slot time hasn’t come or any other individual will be allowed on the running track except the registered Runners.
- No outside/ private support personnel will be allowed inside the track and surrounding areas to help with hydration, food, massage, etc. to any of the runners. The organisers will be providing all the required support to the runners at the venue.
- There will be a designated area for supporters and the cheering team.
- This is an electronically timed event and the distance/lap recorded by the timing system will be used for all decisions and certifications. The runner’s Watch or any other device will not be used to decide the distance, time, lap, etc.
- Minimum of 5 teams should be registered in the category for prize eligibility.
- Organisers' decisions will be final in all aspects related to the run.
