Chirbatiya Hill Half Marathon 4 - 1 Edition

In the village, by the villagers for the villages youth”

With this theme, the marathon was started on 28th Aug, 2018 on “National Sports Day” by Pahal Himalayas Self Reliant Co-Operative with the support of Dist. Administration and other stakeholders

Objective:

*Motive was to engage youth in sports and develop a culture of running in Hills, which was earlier restricted to only running and practicing 1600mtr to become a solider in Army

*Promote long distance running in hills, as the terrain naturally develops endurance in the children

*Develop sports events and promote villages for sustainable village tourism, activities to generate livelihood for the youth

CHIRBATIYA HILL 1/2 MARATHON 

Invites local runners of every village in Uttarakhand and runners from rest of the India. 

1. "Villager" will be decided by the organizer if their current residence proof is from the village of Uttarakhand. 

2. Winners from each category will be provided Medal  and certificate. 21Km runners will get medals upto 10

3. Prize money will be awarded only if there will be more than 25 runners in the group

4. Prize money will only be given if the time is less than 2hrs in 20km and less than 1 hrs in 10 Km.

5. Prize money might go upwards revision at the discretion of the organizers. 

6. Tug-O-war : Maximum 10 team of 10 members.

7 Boarding and lodging is limited and will be given based on availability.
